Job summary

Pomptonian Food Service at Parsippany Hills Elementary in New Jersey is seeking a General Worker for a part-time daytime shift (9:30 AM–1:30 PM). You will assist in cold food production, help cooks, serve customers, and maintain a sanitary environment while supporting production records.

No evenings or weekends, and summers off! Lunch is provided, with training and a 401K plan. Holidays off align with school schedules, offering a stable daytime role.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting (25-50 pounds).
• Ability to use general cafeteria equipment (e.g. warmer, fryer, slicer, grill, POS system).
• Ability to come to work promptly and regularly.
• Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cold food production, assist the cooks, serve the customers, maintain a sanitary environment and help in production records.
• Back up other team members in their jobs and assist in any area.
• Follow the guidelines of the Bureau of Child Nutrition.
• Participate in annual continuing education/training program.
