Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking a Cafeteria Operator to join the school’s food services team at Ten Oaks Middle. This 7.5-hour position spans 185 days with 2 openings.

You will prepare meals, follow recipes, and ensure quality, safety, and nutrition in a busy school cafeteria. As part of the Cafeteria Management team, you will also handle serving duties, sanitation training, and daily record keeping while adhering to uniform and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous school food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned breakfast and lunch meals.
• Follow established recipes to ensure quality, portion and nutritional requirements.
• Serve attractive, well presented and portion-controlled menu items.
• Follow sanitation and food safety practices as per program requirements.
• Attend sanitation and refresher courses as required.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Follow directions from cafeteria management with minimal supervision.
