Job summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring for a full-time Food Unit Lead in Winnemucca, NV. The role coordinates activities of other food-service employees to create an enjoyable dining experience for customers and staff.

The position requires prior food service, kitchen, supervisory, and inventory experience, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, with a referral bonus available.

Qualifications

• Prior food service, kitchen, supervisory, and inventory experience is required.
• Full-time schedule; Monday through Friday; hours may vary.
• Location at Humboldt County School District facility in Winnemucca, NV.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items.
• Helps plan menus.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Responds to customer complaints in person and via email.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Determines work procedures, prepares schedules and expedites workflow.
• Uses proper systems for daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, payroll, time-keeping).
• Directs sanitation and safety of the facility and employees.
• Develops sanitation schedule and ensures adherence.
• Issues written and oral instructions.
• Help select and orient employees; oversees staff training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
