Job summary

Burlington High School is hiring a Cafeteria Worker - Cook's Helper to assist in the school kitchen for 15 hours per week. The role reports to the Director of Food Services and the Cafeteria Manager, with duties including meal preparation, serving, cashiering when needed, and sanitation per ServSafe standards.

Starting wage is $21.26 per hour, with daytime hours from 10:00am to 1:00pm. No prior experience is required, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and assist in cleanup
• Monitor cash receipts and assist as cashier as needed
• Assist the Cafeteria Manager and Director of Food Services
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards per ServSafe protocol
• Lift and move up to 30 pounds as required
