Qualifications

• Reads and understands recipes.
• Meets required physical examination.
• Hours may change during the year due to schedules and student participation.

Responsibilities

• Check assignment sheets for weekly work.
• Follow manager instructions and adapt to daily needs.
• Prepare food according to planned menu and tested recipes.
• Note student acceptance of food items.
• Maintain high safety and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
• Assist in food preparation and service; replenish foods regularly.
• Help with daily kitchen and service area cleanup.
• Store or dispose of unused food properly.
• Assist in storing commodities, food items, and supplies.
• Clean ovens, refrigerators, storerooms as directed.
• Work in dish room as needed.
• Maintain neat trash and garbage collection.
• Call manager/teacher for student incidents.
• Attend School Food Service meetings when possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
