Job summary

Nutri-Serve is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve nutritious meals in a friendly, clean cafeteria. You will support meal prep, serve students, and help with daily paperwork and POS tasks.

The role requires a team player attitude, ability to stand for extended periods, and adherence to daily procedures. NJ background checks are required; prior food service experience is a plus. The environment is indoor kitchen with routine cleaning and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must pass NJ state background check and fingerprinting.
• Food service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals and the setup of the cafeteria.
• Check with Kitchen Manager for daily preparation work assignments.
• Assist in the preparation of daily menus.
• Set up napkins, serving utensils, student lunch trays and condiments.
• Set up daily snacks on the cafeteria line.
• Check with Kitchen Manager regarding storage of leftovers.
• Serve nutritious meals in a friendly manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cafeteria and serving lines.
• Input prepayment and daily sales and post deposits.
• Assist with inventory and ordering with the Kitchen Manager.
• Communicate with parents about student accounts as needed.
