Job summary

Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio is seeking a part-time kitchen aide to support daily meal preparation and related duties in a school setting. The role involves inventory, record-keeping, ordering supplies, and cash handling aligned with approved menus and safety standards.

The position requires basic computer skills and prior food service experience. The successful candidate will work 3 hours per day with a starting wage of $14.84 per hour and must meet background check requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Computer knowledge and possess basic academic skills.
• Prior experience as a food service employee.
• Knowledge of state and federal nutritional regulations.
• Physically capable of standing, stooping, lifting 30–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains daily and monthly records, inventories, invoices.
• Participates in meal preparation, menus, ordering, serving, cashiering, cleanup.
• Follows approved menus and standardized recipes for preparing food.
• Uses computer, POS software, email, and web browsing.
• Manages daily revenues including cash drawer and recording monies.
• Reports problems to Kitchen Manager or Food Service Director.
• Follows safety regulations and district policies.
• Attends meetings/trainings as directed by leadership.
