Job summary

East Penn School District is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support all areas of the school nutrition program. Responsibilities include following HACCP policies, maintaining meal counts, and rotating through line setup, prep, cashier, and stock room tasks.

The role requires a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and reliable, punctual performance in a school setting. This is a 10-month, non-exempt hourly position with 5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow written directions precisely.
• Must read, write and understand English effectively.
• Demonstrates courtesy and professionalism in interactions with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow HACCP and USDA food policies and regulations.
• Maintain accurate daily production records (meal counts).
• Rotate food service duties including line prep, food prep, setup, cashier, server and stock room.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
