Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a cafeteria staff member to support lunch service and hygienic dishroom operations. You will set up and run the dish machine, wash pots and pans between lunch lines, and assist with snack prep as needed.

You must be willing to learn the Point Of Sale cashiering system, communicate effectively with students and staff, and lift items weighing at least 35 pounds during shifts. Training will be provided and food handler requirements apply during probation.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills including writing and reading abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate dish machine; break down for cleaning.
• Wash pots and pans between lunch lines; assist with snack prep.
• Learn cashiering; operate POS system as needed.
• Sweep and mop dish room; perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
