Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a Production Worker for a 5.5 hour shift to support the Food & Nutrition Services department. The role involves setting up serving areas, serving meals to students and staff, and cashiering duties as needed.

Ideal candidates have prior commercial food service production experience, can lift up to 50 pounds, and work efficiently in a busy cafeteria environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and willingness to learn is valued.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial food service production experience desired.
• Must be able to lift 10-50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop and demonstrate manual dexterity.
• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Able to work quickly in a busy cafeteria.
• Experience in cashiering or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food production and operate on-site equipment.
• Maintain sanitation and follow sanitation standards per regulations.
• Follow manager's instructions for producing, portioning, garnishing and serving meals.
• Operate a cash register as needed.
• Assist with clean-up, dishwashing and pot/pan washing.
• Collaborate with the school community; other duties as assigned.
