Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or progress toward GED as required by Kentucky law.
• One year experience cooking and baking in large quantities.
• Must complete training for certification of beginning school food personnel as prescribed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake rolls, biscuits, breads, cakes, cookies and other baked goods.
• Prepare and cook meat dishes, vegetables and other main dishes.
• Assist in determining quantities and adjust recipes as needed.
• Monitor temperatures to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Serve and replenish lunch items for faculty.
• Maintain cleanliness of cafeteria equipment and storerooms.
• Train and provide work direction to others.
• Record food quantities and monies collected; assist with inventory.
• Prepare foods for special events as needed.
