Lewiston Public Schools in Montello Elementary School is seeking a Food Service Specialist - Cook for the School Dining Service Program. The role focuses on preparing meals, maintaining sanitation, and supporting breakfast and lunch services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State nutrition program certificate or cooks course preferred.
• Specialized training in sanitation, food handling, and safety required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare main meals and vegetables as listed on the menu.
• Assist in meal accountability for students.
• Assist in supervising breakfast service and in ordering food and supplies.
• Prepare entrees for Breakfast Program as needed.
• Assist in preparation, serving and cleanup of meals.
• Ensure proper food storage and thawing for meals.
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Work harmoniously with school staff and supervise kitchen personnel as needed.
• Monitor supplies availability for next day’s menu.
• Support in money accountability as assigned by supervisor.
