Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a school cafeteria teammate to prepare and serve meals per planned menus using tested recipes, ensuring quality in flavor and presentation before serving.

Responsibilities include kitchen cleanup, food handling, inventory monitoring, and helping set up meals. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and a Food Handlers card, with prior food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Food Handlers card required.
• Six months of food handling service or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing and cooking foods, including panning frozen foods, cupping fruit, washing and bagging produce, baking, chopping salad items, and more.
• Serves and replenishes food supply.
• Cleans cafeteria and kitchen areas, including wiping tables, sweeping and mopping floors, loading dishwashers, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Prepare cafeteria for meals, arrange utensils and trays, and monitor utensil availability.
• Assist with monitoring food inventory and counts after daily service.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature as needed.
