Compass Group USA's Chartwells K-12 division is hiring a full-time CHEF for Wilton Public Schools in Wilton, CT. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with online applications accepted.

The ideal candidate has prior culinary experience and will supervise kitchen staff, ensure food safety and quality, and manage production to meet meal service needs in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises cooks and food-service associates in meal prep and service.
• Ensures sanitation, food handling and customer service standards.
• Interviews, schedules, payroll, training, and performance reviews for kitchen staff.
• Prepares high-quality items per recipes to meet production and delivery schedules.
• Maintains portion control, presentation, and serving temperatures.
• Tracks food usage and waste to inform purchasing.
• Receives and inspects products for quality and quantity.
• Maintains equipment sanitation and keeps work areas clean.
