Compass Group USA, serving Chartwells K-12, is hiring for a full-time COOK position at Wilton Public Schools in Wilton, CT. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 2:30 pm with no nights or weekends and summers off.

Minimum one year of cooking experience is preferred. Job duties include preparing high-quality meals from standardized recipes, maintaining cleanliness, following safety procedures, and supporting productive kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and follows HACCP standards.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
