Job summary

The Nutrition Group is seeking a friendly Cashier to work in a local school kitchen/cafeteria. You will handle student lunch sales and operate the cafeteria POS system and cash register, following USDA and state sanitation guidelines. This role requires a positive work ethic and reliable transportation, with daytime hours Monday through Friday and holidays off.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including currency calculations.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Point of Sale (POS) experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain clearances and pass background checks.
• Positive, reliable work ethic and team attitude.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle student lunch sales.
• Operate the cafeteria computer Point of Sale and cash register.
• Sanitation in accordance with USDA and state guidelines.
