Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Heats food and prepares side dishes according to planned menus; tests food for quality in flavor and appearance prior to serving.
• Serves proper food portions based on USDA guidelines for breakfast and lunch.
• Records required temperatures of freezers, coolers, cold and hot food.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
• Collects and records daily account deposits and food orders using a computerized system and secures daily deposit.
• Communicates with students, parents and building staff with any changes or concerns pertaining to food service; promotes a positive work environment.
• Trains food service staff to efficiently learn other tasks in the kitchen.
• Performs daily cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, pots, pans, utensils and work areas.
