Job summary

The role requires an Associates Degree-Technical School or two years of related experience, CDL Class A/B (or ability to obtain), and appropriate endorsements. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree-Technical School OR Two years or work related experience.
• CDL Class A or B, OR the ability to obtain.
• Endorsements: Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) or as Required.
• Ability to pass medical examination.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair buses and other assets.
• Work in a collaborative environment with other technicians.
• Understand performance of maintenance on gas- and diesel-powered vehicles and systems.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and stations.
• Request parts needed for repairs by reading drawings and catalogs.
• Communicate effectively with technicians, supervisors, managers and customers.
• Maintain efficiency, productivity and labor rate standards as directed.
• Learn new products and methods, and train lower level technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
