Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. is seeking a Substitute School Bus Driver to ensure the safe transportation of students and staff to and from school and field trips. Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager, you will operate a school bus according to routes and schedules.

The role requires a valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, and prior bus driving experience preferred. Immediate availability and open-coverage for routes are expected.

Qualifications

• Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL), class B with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement.
• Must have current bus driver's physical.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer prior bus driver experience in a school district.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a school bus on designated routes during school days.
• Transports students, teachers and others on field trips and activities.
• Inspects bus daily for safety and cleanliness.
• Reports mechanical issues, traffic violations or accidents promptly.
• Maintains order and supervision of students per district policies.
• Prepares for bus drills and assists with evacuation procedures.
• Keeps route timing records and submits required reports.
• Travels to and from district buildings and field trip locations.
