Job summary

First Student is hiring a Service Employee to maintain and fuel all school, activity, and commercial buses. You will dispense fuel, check oil, record readings, stock supplies, and coordinate bus flow to ensure safe operation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; DOT drug testing applies. We offer $20.00 per hour, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, life insurance, growth opportunities, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of bus maintenance with the ability to learn maintenance skills.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.

Responsibilities

• Opens the gates to the lot and checks bus parking areas to ensure dispatch in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate records and completes Fuel and Meter reports and other required logs.
• Notifies the Location Manager when a fuel delivery is required and ensures accurate readings.
• Checks and fills oil, fluids, belts on buses being fueled and performs light maintenance.
• Performs any other management requests related to fleet operations.
