Job summary

South Bend Community School Corp Vehicle Maintenance Facility in South Bend, Indiana is seeking a Bus Paraprofessional to support transportation of students, including those with special needs. The role reports to the Director of Transportation and starts immediately at $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be available 6-9am and 1:45-5pm.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transporting students and students with special needs.
• Supervise students boarding, riding, or departing the bus.
• Ensure safety and assist in evacuations and seating charts.
• Maintain knowledge to secure wheelchair seatbelts and adaptive equipment.
• Provide written records of students and referrals as needed.
