Job summary

Gentry Public Schools is hiring a Bus Route Driver for the 2026-2027 school year in Gentry, AR. This role requires a current Class B CDL with school bus endorsement, air brake endorsement, and passenger endorsement, plus successful completion of background and medical checks.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Class B CDL with school bus endorsement, air brake endorsement, and passenger endorsement.
• Able to successfully pass a criminal background check, DHS Child Maltreatment Registry check, bus driver physical, and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate the bus to ensure safety of passengers and vehicle.
• Start route on time and maintain safe speeds to arrive at school on time.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and post-trip checks; monitor student discipline.
• Keep the bus clean and ensure students remain seated with seat belts fastened.
• Follow proper stop procedures; do not move bus until students are secured.
• Other duties assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.
