Qualifications

• Requires ability to obtain and maintain a valid CDL Class B with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Must meet safe driver program standards, medical and district certification, and CPR/First Aid training.
• Requires annual recertification to maintain employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily school bus transportation for district students to and from destinations, including field trips and special events.
• Perform pre- and post-bus inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions and safety.
• Maintain attendance records, seating charts, and disciplinary documentation; communicate via radio.
• Assist students with loading/unloading and attending to those with special medical needs.
• Coordinate with bus monitors and district personnel; ensure safety and proper student behavior.
• Learn routes and stay updated on current technology used by OCPS.
