Job summary

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is seeking a reliable School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and extracurricular activities on a daily route. Under general supervision, you will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, enforce safety rules, communicate with students and parents, and coordinate with the Transportation Coordinator on route changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Arizona CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements required or ability to obtain.
• Arizona School Bus Driver Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Drives school bus on a daily pre-established route.
• Communicates professionally with students, parents and staff.
• Coordinates with Transportation Coordinator on route changes and new passengers.
• Picks up and delivers only authorized students; ensures all have departed before leaving stop.
