Job summary

Shawnee Family YMCA is seeking a dependable bus driver to transport students on designated routes and school trips in Oklahoma. You will operate the YMCA passenger bus in accordance with schedules and safety rules, assist with loading and unloading as needed, and report incidents.

The role requires a valid Oklahoma CDL with a School Bus Endorsement, the ability to perform daily vehicle inspections, basic first aid, and strong communication to maintain order and safety.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Oklahoma Class A or B CDL with a School Bus Endorsement.
• Pre-employment physical examination and drug testing.
• Background check with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive the YMCA bus on designated routes and field trips.
• Pick up and discharge students and staff.
• Maintain bus in a safe, clean condition; perform daily inspections.
• Administer first aid when required and contact appropriate authorities in emergencies.
• Conduct student emergency bus evacuation drills as needed.
