DATTCO is seeking a School Bus Monitor at our Plainville, CT location to help keep students safe on and around school transportation.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety rules, assisting with boarding and evacuations, and supporting bus drivers with daily routes. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and pass mandatory screenings; the position offers part-time hours with potential for additional shifts and weekends off.

Qualificações

• Must pass pre-employment screenings including state and national background checks, registry checks, drug testing, and any other screenings required by law.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and assist passengers during boarding, exiting, and emergency evacuations.
• Experience working with children or in a classroom setting is preferred.
• Maintain a calm, professional demeanor and enforce safety rules on the bus.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a reasonable level of good behavior by the children on the bus and ensure safety.
• Enforce school bus safety rules, keep students seated, and prevent eating on the bus.
• Recognize dangerous situations and report to the bus driver immediately.
• Assist in post-run inspections to ensure all children are off the bus.
• Assist in buckling children and safety equipment as outlined by safety laws.
• Assist in evacuations of children during emergencies.
• Assist the driver with directions as defined by a pre-determined route sheet.
