Job summary

Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep, repair, and replacement of the district's school buses and related equipment. You will ensure accurate records, manage the fleet, and coordinate with the Supervisor of Transportation for inspections and compliance.

The role is 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 260 days per year, with opportunities to lead a skilled maintenance team and to prepare buses for state

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Coordinate and relay directions to fellow workers.
• Ability to lift at least 70 pounds.
• Good motor coordination and dexterity.
• Knowledge of safe use of shop tools and equipment.
• Must obtain Ohio Class B CDL with air brake, school bus and passenger endorsements within 6 months.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical specs.
• Familiarity with building codes relevant to area of responsibility.
• Basic tools required.
• Basic computer skills.
