Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Training or experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of tire inspection, maintenance, and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of automotive air conditioning systems.
• Ability to inspect and maintain school buses per Arkansas state standards.
• Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a valid CDL Class B with passenger, school bus, and air brake endorsements.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on district buses and other vehicles and equipment.
• Help ensure district buses meet applicable safety requirements and Arkansas state inspection standards.
• Follow all district policies, procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance guidelines.
• Maintain and operate shop equipment, tools, and related maintenance equipment.
• Inventory, organize, and maintain parts, tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all assigned shop areas.
• Maintain accurate and timely maintenance, inspection, repair, and other required shop records.
• Respond to transportation-related mechanical problems outside normal hours as needed.
• Communicate maintenance concerns to the Transportation Director promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
