Job summary

Sunrise Transportation in Crestwood, IL is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on gasoline/diesel engines, under the Service Manager. The role includes safety inspections, working on bus safety systems, and maintaining fleet systems.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year engine diagnostics experience, and a valid Illinois driver’s license. Experience with maintenance software is a plus; the position is based in Crestwood with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• One or more years of engine diagnostics and general automotive maintenance experience.
• Experience with maintenance software programs is a plus.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and general inspections on vehicles.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines and components.
• Inspect and maintain bus safety systems and related equipment.
• Maintain and process work orders accurately.
• Prepare vehicles for IDOT inspections.
• Support a safe, reliable, road-ready fleet.
