Monark Student Transportation Corp. in Ambridge, PA seeks a Mechanic to perform routine and preventive maintenance on buses, identify and repair faulty parts, and test systems for safe operation.
The ideal candidate will read service manuals and use diagnostic tools, with CDL training provided in-house. Two-plus years of related experience and a vocational auto repair background are preferred, along with a state inspection license and hydraulics knowledge.
You will perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes, and tune-ups, repairing or replacing malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts. You will pe rform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function and examining critical parts and systems using a standard checklist. You will be able to identify mechanical issues either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. Test drive vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation and planning timetable to complete such repairs and maintenance.
