Job summary

Woodridge Local School District Transportation is hiring a School Bus Driver (Floater) for Peninsula, Ohio. The position is contracted for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, with an hourly rate of $25.44 and no benefits.

The driver will safely operate a school bus on designated routes when school is in session, transport students and staff on field trips, perform daily bus inspections, maintain order, and report incidents in accordance with district procedures.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B SP (Passenger and School Bus) endorsement required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior bus driver experience preferred.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a school bus on designated routes on days school is in session.
• Transports students, teachers and others on field trips and activities.
• Inspects the bus daily prior to transporting passengers.
• Maintains bus cleanliness and refuels as needed.
• Reports incidents and follows safety procedures consistently.
• Keeps records and communicates route timing and any issues.
