Summit School Services LLC is seeking a Fleet Technician I to support our school bus fleet in New Orleans, LA. You will diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline systems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure DVIR readiness to keep routes safe and on time.

You’ll work with the Lead Technician to identify issues, log labor hours, and perform mobile repairs as needed, maintaining a clean, safety-first workspace in compliance with regulations.

Formación

• Minimum of five years medium/heavy truck fleet mechanic repair experience.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and A/C issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent education and training; CDL preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems per skill level.
• Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds, and test drives to verify quality repairs.
• Complete safety inspections and repair sign-offs before releasing vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area compliant with standards.
• Log labor hours, parts used, and completed work in the maintenance system.
• Respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs when needed.
