The Rockport Public Schools seek to hire full-time bus drivers to join

our dedicated team of drivers and become a part of our fantastic

community. The District is also seeking part-time substitute drivers.

Positive and supportive work environment

Potential opportunity for job share allowing for AM/PM shift only (Parttime)

Compensation

$27.52 per hour for 24-25 School Year

$28.69 per hour for 25-26 School Year

The following annual longevity stipends will be paid as appropriate

in recognition of continuous service as a bus driver for the Rockport

Public Schools.

• 5 Years = $800.00 - 10 Years = $950.00 - 15 Years = $1,150.00
  
  

Reimbursement for costs of driver training to qualified applicants,

license renewal fees, and cost of DOT physical and drug testing.

WORK YEAR & WORK DAY

This school year position consists of 181 workdays which shall

include the 180 days that school is in session plus one additional day

before school starts.

5.5 hour work day consists of before and after school runs

transporting students to and from the elementary school and the

middle/high school, as well as time to perform job related tasks such

as routine cleaning, pre and post trip inspection, and maintenance.

Additional hours available for field trips, athletic events, and other off

campus school district activities at the same hourly rate.

Benefits Include

Health insurance will be paid by the Town of Rockport at the

percentage rate available for all other town employees

$10,000 life insurance will be made available with participant

contribution

13 Sick days per year - accumulates to 220 days

Up to 10 paid holidays

Up to 4 paid "snow days"

3 personal days
