Roosevelt School District 66 is seeking a Bus Driver Trainee to begin a structured training program focused on safely transporting students on assigned routes and field trips. You will learn to operate school buses, perform routine checks, and follow district procedures under qualified supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; not required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Willingness to obtain an Arizona School Bus Driver Certificate with passenger endorsement and Class B CDL.
• Must maintain a good driving record and complete training.
• Ability to communicate in English and work with students, teachers, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Learn to obey traffic laws, rules, and safety regulations under supervision.
• Transport authorized students on routes to/from school and field trips.
• Particpate in safety inspections and document issues in logs.
• Keep bus clean inside and out; check for lost items or damage.
• Maintain discipline and supervise students during transport.
• Assist in educating students about safety during training.
• Report accidents verbally and in writing within required time frames.
• Attend in-service meetings and training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned during training.
