Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
• Willingness to obtain Arizona School Bus Driver Certificate with passenger endorsement and Class B CDL through district-provided training.
• Must maintain a good driving record and commit to completing bus driver school and training.
• Ability to learn and comply with safety procedures.
• Willingness to develop the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
• Must be physically able to bend, climb, stoop, kneel, lift 60 pounds, and reach to assist students or handle emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Learn to obey traffic laws, Arizona DOT rules, Roosevelt School District policies, and safety regulations under a certified trainer.
• Assist in transporting authorized students on routes, to and from school, and on field trips as part of supervised training.
• Participate in mandatory safety inspections and document issues.
• Keep bus clean inside and out and check for lost items and damage after each run.
• Discharge students only at authorized stops during training and report incidents as required.
