Job summary

Bowling Green City Schools is seeking a Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and related activities, upholding district safety standards and professional conduct. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio Class B CDL with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements, a clean driving record, and successful completion of required pre-employment screenings and health requirements.

Starting pay is $22.57 per hour.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must hold Ohio Class B CDL with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements.
• Must meet Ohio education and workforce bus driver certification requirements.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Complete pre-employment screenings including physical and drug tests and background checks.
• Meet health requirements and communicate effectively with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes and trips.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a safe, courteous environment for students.
• Follow all Ohio transportation laws and district procedures.
• Maintain transportation records and reports.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and transportation personnel.
• Report accidents and safety concerns promptly.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned.
