Job summary

sbics is seeking an Activity Driver to safely transport students and patrons to events, ensuring passenger safety and well-being during journeys.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report repairs, complete mileage logs, and maintain a clean, well‑functioning bus. The role requires a valid license, ability to pass DOT screenings, flexible hours, and strong communication, with paid training to obtain a DOT license.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass background check, DOT Physical and DOT Drug screening.
• Flexible schedule and reliable attendance.
• Willingness to obtain DOT License (training provided).
• Passionate about working with children and the public, with safety as a priority.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting students to and from school activities and patrons to events.
• Maintain an orderly, calm, and safe environment on the bus.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Report required repairs or maintenance.
• Complete mileage reports for routes driven.
• Keep the bus clean and mechanically sound.
• Follow traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and trainings.
