Job summary

St. Joseph Catholic School is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and events, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.

The driver will be responsible for vehicle checks, safety procedures, and maintaining confidentiality in school matters. The role requires a valid Class B license with P/S endorsements, a clean driving record, and the ability to work a schedule that serves the school community.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid Class B Driver’s License.
• Holds Passenger and/or School Bus (P and S) endorsements, as needed.
• Maintains a safe driving record and be free of restrictions.
• Must submit EIM Application for Ministry within the first week, and complete required EIM training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Transports students to and from school and activities in compliance with laws.
• Performs pre-trip vehicle checks to ensure safe operation.
• Maintains confidentiality and upholds school policies.
• Communicates safety/discipline concerns to the principal.
• Follows safety and emergency procedures while operating the vehicle.
• Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff.
• Abides by rules for student rider safety and discipline.
• Submit to the principal all requests for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
