IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and ensure passenger safety across multiple school sites. The role requires a CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, a DOT medical card, and the ability to manage student behavior safely.

Qualified applicants must be 21+, pass drug tests, and complete bus driver safety training. The position is on-site with flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus safely on time schedules transporting students to and from homes, campuses, and field trips.
• Maintains order and proper discipline of passengers; resolves disputes; reports disciplinary cases.
• Conducts daily safety and operational inspection of the vehicle.
• Oversees loading/unloading of students; releases to authorized individuals; ensures seatbelts are fastened.
• Keeps records on mileage, routing, maintenance, and time schedules.
• Notifies campus contacts of delays in scheduled routes.
• Ensures CDL, Medical Card, and Region One credentials are current per DOT and IDEA policy.
