North America Central School Bus is seeking an on-site route assistant to support bus drivers and ensure student safety on every trip. The role contributes to the safe transport of over a million daily riders by following route sheets, assisting with wheelchair lifts, and maintaining secure bus operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in the safe operation of the route and manage students as defined by school.
• Learn and follow a route sheet or electronic routing device.
• Assist in pre-trip and post-trip inspections including child checks and wheelchair lifts.
• Assist students in loading/unloading including wheelchair lift.
• Communicate with school personnel, parents and students; attend safety meetings.
• Conduct emergency evacuation when required.
