The position includes duties such as maintaining mileage logs, filing incident reports, and assisting with wheelchairs when needed. CDL with school bus endorsement and CPR/first aid are required or planned for qualification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid AZ driver\'s license and clean driving record for five years.
• Must possess or obtain an AZ CDL with passenger, school bus, and air brake endorsements and school bus driver certification.
• CPR and first aid certification required.
• Must obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance card from AZDPS.
• Will be hired as a substitute bus driver trainee if no CDL.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify bus condition and safety.
• Transports students to and from school, field trips, and outings according to schedule.
• Maintains discipline on the bus and prepares discipline reports.
• Assists with securing wheelchairs for disabled students and participates in evacuation drills.
• Maintains mileage and student count logs and completes accident, incident, and maintenance reports.
