Job summary

Ferris-Independent-School-District in the United States seeks a School Bus Driver to safely transport students and staff to and from school and field trips. Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, you will operate a school bus, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain orderly conduct.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements and a high school diploma or GED. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid DMV license and CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
• High School Diploma or GED; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Prior experience as a bus driver, preferably in a school district.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives school bus on designated routes according to schedules.
• Transports students, teachers, and others on field or activity trips.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections and keeps bus clean and in good repair.
• Maintains discipline and records route timing and incidents as required.
• Participates in trainings and keeps required records up to date.
• Responds to emergencies following written procedures.
