Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is hiring a School Bus Driver for citywide service, including school routes and special events. The driver will ensure safe, secure student transportation and perform routine vehicle checks. Follows district policies and maintains documentation as required.

Candidate must hold a Minnesota CDL with school bus/passenger endorsement and pass background checks. Excellent driving record and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota State CDL with school bus/passenger endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Drives students to and from school and events.
• Monitors students and enforces district policies.
• Reports behavior issues to supervisor.
• Performs daily vehicle inspections and ensures bus operates correctly.
• Cleans bus interior and maintains cleanliness.
• Completes required written reports daily.
