Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with S (School Bus) and P (Passenger) endorsements.
• Safe driving record.
• Successful completion of district training program.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety rules and traffic laws, prioritizing safety in all operations.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip safety inspections using the Driver's Daily Report.
• Initiate follow-up actions to correct equipment deficiencies noted on reports.
• Transport assigned students on designated morning and evening routes per schedules.
• Establish positive relationships with students and parents to promote safety and good conduct.
• Instruct students on established rules, conduct, and bus safety.
• Communicate with parents to address minor discipline issues before involving administrators.
• Perform head counts and provide written reports as directed.
• Attend all non-student days for professional development and complete district driver training requirements.
