Qualifications

• Education: GED or High School Diploma.
• Experience: Experience operating large passenger vehicles or equivalent training.
• License or Certification: Valid CDL with class P (passenger) and S (school bus) endorsements.
• Completed bus driver safety training course.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• Pass alcohol and drug tests.
• DOT Physical Examination.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus safely on schedules and routes; transports students to and from homes, school sites, and on field trips.
• Maintains order and proper discipline; resolves disputes and reports severe disciplinary cases.
• Performs daily safety and operational inspection of the vehicle.
