Job summary

Brevard Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Pool-Bus Driver to transport students safely on scheduled routes and field trips in Melbourne, Florida. You will operate a school bus following routes and safety procedures while ensuring student safety and on-time performance.

Essential qualifications include five years of licensed driving experience, a clean driving record, and Florida CDL Class B with P and S endorsements.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of licensed driving experience with fewer than five (5) infraction points in the preceding three (3) year period.
• Must pass DOT certified physical examination, pre-employment drug screen, and FDLE fingerprint-based background check prior to start date.
• Additional preferred qualification: High School Diploma/Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely and efficiently on scheduled routes and/or special events and field trips in and out of county.
• Responsible for the safe operation of a school bus and for ensuring the safety of students and other passengers while meeting established route schedules.
• Resolve emergency and non-emergency situations following established guidelines.
