Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Bus Driver in Houston, TX to transport students on scheduled routes and ensure safety of all passengers, including special education students. The role requires CDL with proper endorsements, completion of safety training, and adherence to DOT policies.

The driver will report to the transportation team and may work extended hours to meet school needs. The position offers an hourly rate with eligibility for a performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Education: GED or high school diploma required.
• Valid CDL with class P and S endorsements.
• Completed bus driver safety training course.
• DOT physical examination required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports students on scheduled routes and field trips.
• Maintain order and discipline; document severe cases.
• Conduct daily safety and operational inspection of the bus.
