The position is temporary-to-hire and onsite at the Delano campus. A valid California Class B license with P/S and air-brake endorsements is required, along with first aid and DOT readiness.

Qualifications

• Requires a validCalifornia Class B Driver's License with P/S and air brake endorsements.
• American Red Cross First Aid certification is required.
• AED certification is required.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical certificate and maintain driving credentials.
• Ability to read and write sufficiently to perform duties and understand laws and codes.
• Completion of 20 hours classroom instruction and 20 hours behind-the-wheel on school bus driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus daily on designated routes and field trips.
• Escort students across streets and ensure safety at stops.
• Maintain orderly conduct on bus and at bus stops.
• Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks and clean the bus.
• Complete accurate trip records and report incidents or malfunctions.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when needed.
