Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid California Class B driver license with P and S endorsements.
• AED/First Aid certification.
• Air brake endorsement and DOT Medical Certificate.
• Ability to read and write sufficiently to perform duties.
• Successful completion of required bus driver training (20 hours classroom, 20 hours behind the wheel).

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus daily over designated routes and on field trips.
• Escorts students across streets and manages student behavior on board.
• Inspects bus prior to operation and maintains cleanliness.
• Operates wheelchair ramp and secures wheelchairs when needed.
• Maintains required trip records and reports issues promptly.
• Attends safety meetings and follows district policies.
