Job summary

Taos Municipal School District is seeking CDL Route/Activity Bus Drivers to transport students to and from school and activities, operating school buses safely in all weather, and complying with NM PED and NM DOT policies.

The position is part-time, reports to the Director of Transportation, requires CDL and NM School Bus Driver certificate, at least 5 years driving, and will involve pre/post trips, maintaining records, and random drug testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional driving experience.
• Safe driving record as demonstrated in five year driving abstract.

Responsibilities

• Operates a school bus safely and responsibly.
• Performs and completes pre/post trip vehicle inspections daily.
• Complies with traffic laws and school district policies.
• Ensures student safety and proper supervision on routes and trips.
• Attends mandatory in-service trainings.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and reports mechanical issues.
• Keeps records of riders, stops, and pickup/drop-off times.
• Documents incidents and reports to Transportation Department.
